Family Links and Anniston Morning Rotary proudly present an “Art of Imagination” show. Carson Entertainment, a national touring company, produces one of the world’s largest magic/illusion shows. The show stars Garry Carson and Kelsey Kara; the duo has been performing exciting, funny, clean family entertainment 45 weeks annually for fifteen years!
Their award winning tour performs at corporate events, 5-star resorts, major casinos, colleges and universities, and aboard luxury cruise ships throughout the world. Garry and Kelsey have appeared on national and international television specials, but their overall heartfelt endeavors are the events they perform for non-profit organizations that benefit the youth of our country. Raised in Colorado, Garry’s career began at age 10 when music became his hobby after a serious sledding accident resulted in the loss of his left kidney. He overcame many obstacles and turned professional at age 14. His passion for the art of magic led him to perform at a variety of venues and fundraising events nationwide. Garry created “Knowing the Magic Words,” an educational program which allowed Garry to speak about his life and craft to over 500,000 children throughout the Midwest. These are just an example of Garry’s accomplishments—and all of this happened before graduating high school!
Garry combines his magical talents with his business partner, Kelsey Kara. Kelsey Kara has been singing and dancing since age three. She also turned professional at 14 as a member of the New Mickey Mouse Club. A former Miss Nevada, she graced the Miss America stage in Atlantic City. After performing internationally as a singer and dancer on a world tour of Legends in Concert, Kelsey returned to Las Vegas to join Garry in “Wizards Secrets” at the MGM Grand Hotel & Casino. Garry and Kelsey combined their talents to deliver one of the countries largest stage shows. Their show consists of magic, grand illusions, comedy, lots of audience participation, and live animals. They have been featured in national and international publications as “…incredibly talented performers who perform under, at times, impossible conditions.” They have delighted audiences in over 40 countries with their unique style of magic and illusions. They have won numerous awards and been contacted to perform for the President of the United States. Garry and Kelsey recently appeared on Good Morning America and Inside Edition; and they have filmed many TV specials before live audiences in the United States, Europe, and Australia. Their most recent is called “Master of Illusions” produced by Mrs. Gay Blackstone, wife of the late legendary magician Harry Blackstone, Jr. that is now airing on FOX. At 25, Garry was chosen from hundreds of magicians worldwide to premiere the opening of the MGM Grand, the world’s largest hotel and casino in Las Vegas. His show “Wizard Secrets” was awarded a six-month contract that was extended over two years. During this time, Garry performed more than 8,000 shows and “Wizard Secrets” was voted #1 Family Attraction in Las Vegas two years in a row.
